Does email marketing still work?
Let’s get one thing straight, I’m NOT talking about your monthly, newsy email newsletter.
Today, I’m talking about email marketing, and yes, there’s a difference.
I like email when it comes to marketing.
Why? Here are my top reasons 👇
📬 99% of people check their emails daily (and about 25% check them more than five times a day!) That means your brand has a chance to be seen every single day.
👀 Even if your email isn’t opened, your name still lands in front of your audience. That’s brand recognition at work.
💰 Email marketing still delivers one of the highest ROI's of any marketing tool out there.
🗝️ You own your email list – no algorithm can take that away.
💬 It keeps you connected with customers who already know, like, and trust you – and they’re the most likely to buy again.
Email marketing is really just about sending helpful, genuine messages straight to your customers’ inboxes. Keeping them in the loop, building connection, and giving them a reason to take action (and buy again!) when it feels right.
It’s a simple, low-cost way to share what’s new, build trust, and gently remind people why they chose your business in the first place.
How to grow your email list
When someone gives you their email address, they’re trusting you with a little piece of their inbox. So I believe that you’ve got to make it worth their while. Offer something genuinely useful to earn that trust, and then keep it by sending quality content, not spam.
Here are a few easy ways to start:
💡 Offer something helpful. A free checklist, quick guide, or resource that makes life easier for your customers.
💬 Talk about it on social media. Invite people to join for early access, practical tips, or updates. Keeping it friendly, not pushy.
🖥 Add a sign-up form to your website. Pop it in your footer, contact page, or as a gentle pop-up.
🎁 Run a giveaway. Something that genuinely adds value.
📝 Use your everyday tools. Add a “Join my list” link in your email signature or enquiry form.
Growing your email list doesn’t have to be fancy or flash. It’s about giving people something worth signing up for and then keeping your promise once they do.

Ready to give email marketing a go?
So maybe you’ve realised that email marketing does work – and now you’re ready to give it a go.
But sitting down to actually start? That’s another story.
If you’ve been meaning to set up your list, refresh your strategy, or finally send those first few emails, this one’s for you.
I’ve put together a simple Email Starter Package that takes the pressure off:
I’ll set up your list and design a clean, on-brand template.
I’ll write your first three emails - welcoming, connecting, and gently selling. You’ll be ready to hit send with confidence.
You’ll walk away with a working system (and the know-how to keep it going).
It’s the easiest way to start building your email marketing and staying in touch with your customers. All without adding another thing to your already-busy to-do list.
